Dr. Dongsheng Li and Dr. Gopal Das met while working at Department of Materials and Processing Engineering, Practt & Whitney, one of the largest airplane engine production companies in the world. Identified the opportunity of additive manufacturing in aerospace industry, they decided to move into this field to promote the advance the novel technology to promote it in application. Without the limitation of bureaucracy and delay, they have the freedom to help clients to implement their ideas in full speed.
They have worked with aerospace industry, automobile industry, energy industry to advance additive manufacturing. They also highly appreciate the funding support from state of Connecticut, and Department of Energy.

Who We Are
Founder
Dongsheng Li
Before starting AMLLC Dr. Li has worked in one of the world’s best university, Georgia Institute of Technology, one of the worlds’ best lab, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, one of the world’s best airplane engine corporation, Pratt & Whitney. With encouragement from family and friends, he founded AMLLC, initially as an R&D company, then expanding into production service, focusing on additive manufacturing.

Dr. Gopal Das is an expert on alloy development and processing optimization. Prior to co-founding Advanced manufacturing LLC, he worked in Pratt & Whiney and Air Force National Lab for 30+ years. He was an founder of a startup in India which manufactured first Si single crystal waffle.
